AIRCRAFT STROBE LIGHT INTENSITY TESTER
Aircraft Strobe Light Intensity Tester ST-4000
American Aerospace has developed and is offereing a portable,
hand-held system for measuring strobe light intensity "On The Wing."
The ST-4000 is FAA Approved to meet the requirements of FAA Flight
Standards Information Bulletin for Airworthiness FSAW 98-01.
The ST-4000 is designed and manufactured in accordance with SAE
standard ARP5029 - Measurement Procedures for Anti-Collision Strobe
Lights. This standard is available at the
SAE Website.
The Flash Test ST-4000 allows the operator to measure the
intensity of all strobe lights without removing them from the aircraft.
The procedure is quick, easy, and provides a digital read-out of the
strobe intensity in effective cadelas. This is important for record
keeping purposes and data gathering. The test can be accomplished
during routin maintenance visits, indoors or outdoors, and needs no
additional special equipment or setup.
The Flash Test can also be used in the repair shop to ensure
proper light intensity output following strobe unit repair or overhaul.
American Aerospace offers training and assistance in developing a
maintenance program to meet the FAA Requirements. The company will
further establish a central data bank to interested customers to
accumulate data. This data can be used to justify and establish
reasonable check intervals in the future.
